Voting in the robot idea contest has ended and the 1st winner is:
"I'm The DJ" Robot By Kayleigh Doughty
This is the image that was submitted to the contest:
This is my sculpture adaptation. I tried to keep it close to the original submission but add a little more too.
I will be announcing the other winners and the adjoining figures over the next week. So keep checking back.

ReplyDeleteyeah well done me ...NOT! Or tho your Design of a DJ Robot looks kinda cute and all, this Robot is not " Im the DJ" Designed by Kayleigh Doughty at all. So technically I didn't win - my idea was just robbed! An the people who voted to see the design brought to life where also.
ReplyDeleteBit of a un-fair contest by a self proclaimed artists, last time i enter any more of deez! If anyone cares to disagree feel free to hit me up at kayleigh_doughty@hotmail.com - An let this be a lesson to all up and coming artists! Peace.
Ps - don't bother sending me the Robot, im cool.
Wow! The actual sculpture looks WAAAY cuter than the picture. Great job, SleepyRobot!!
ReplyDeleteI think the final outcome is better -the base design has a little bit too much black with the record and album. I don't think they would have looked right placed together at all and if the robot had been sitting on top, you wouldn't have noticed them.
ReplyDeleteAlso don't know how you would have gotten the text on the body without it looking squished. Plus, is that translucent and regular clay mixed together for the buttons or neon? Either way, it looks really cool and adds a nice colour contrast to the grey.
Your little robot sculpture is so cute!! I think conceptually it came out better than the drawing! You can never please everyone, but I think you did a great job :)
ReplyDeleteI happen to like your sculpture and would love to have it.
ReplyDeleteIt never ceases to amaze me how immature and rude people can be but that's because we are talking about someone who is probably still in high school since it's pretty obvious that grammar is NOT their strong suit...not to mention their total lack of understanding about the meaning of the words they've used.
I'd say quit being a whiny, ignorant douche bag and stay in school.
I love your adaptation! Such skill and creativity. Keep up the good work! I can't wait to see what you do with the rest!
ReplyDeleteI love your robots.... I love how you gave it a scrambling board and a record...that was not in the original design. Awesome interpretation, You Rock!!!!
ReplyDeleteHER idea was robbed she says? Im sorry but since when is a DJ table, limited to HER idea? She needs to grasp reality.
ReplyDeleteYour robot looks GREAT.
